How the interaction occurs:
Efavirenz and nevirapine may increase how quickly your body processes lopinavir.
What might happen:
The levels of lopinavir in your blood may decrease, making it less effective against your HIV infection.
What you should do about this interaction:
Your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Your doctor may want to run blood tests to make sure that your lopinavir is still working. Your doctor may want to increase the dosage of your lopinavir. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your healthcare professionals first.
