How the interaction occurs:
Nevirapine increases how quickly your body processes your antifungal medicine. Ketoconazole may decrease how quickly your body processes nevirapine.
What might happen:
When taken together, nevirapine may decrease the levels of antifungal medicine in your blood, making it less effective. If your antifungal medicine is ketoconazole, the amount of nevirapine in your blood may increase.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Your doctor may want to change your medicines.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
