Ezetimibe/Bile Acid Sequestrants

How the interaction occurs:

If you take ezetimibe too close to taking your bile acid sequestrant, your bile acid sequestrant may prevent your body from absorbing ezetimibe.

What might happen:

Your ezetimibe might not work as well.

What you should do about this interaction:

Take your ezetimibe at least two hours before or four hours after taking your bile acid sequestrant.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
