Drugs: Costs/Importation
- He does not support the importation or reimportation of prescription drugs. A primary reason for this is maintaining U.S. control over the safety of our drugs.
- Huckabee believes a truly free-market system, like the consumer-based system he advocates, will drive down drug prices, along with prices for health care products and services more generally, in ways our employer-based system does not.
Drug Safety
- By disallowing drug importation or reimportation of prescription drugs, Huckabee says we will maintain U.S. control over the safety of our drugs.

- Give cancer patients more access to experimental therapies.
- Create incentives for food stamp recipients to buy more healthy food by making the stamps worth more if buying, say, fruits and vegetables, and less valuable if buying junk food.
Abortion
- Overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.
- Pass a constitutional amendment to protect the right to life.
