Some people qualify for extra help paying for their drugs. How should they sign up?

Low-income people are eligible for extra help. Extra help is terrific. It covers your premiums, deductibles, your co-pays, and it also fills in the doughnut hole. You pay some costs, but they are very reduced. If you think you're eligible, you should apply through the Social Security Administration at (800) 772-1213 or by visiting your local Medicare, Social Security, or State Health Insurance Assistance Office.
