    Non-licensed risk-sharing plans

You may get offers to join non-licensed risk-sharing plans through the mail or Internet. These are not health insurance. They are group savings accounts that you make payments to each month. Then if you need it, this account is supposed to help pay for your health care. However, these plans are not licensed. You have no protection if they refuse to pay your health expenses when you need care.
