Qualifying Individual program (QI)

The Qualifying Individual program offers financial help to lower your payments for Medicare Part B premiums. Part B helps pay for doctor visits, preventive care, and medical supplies. It is part of original Medicare. To qualify, you must not make over a specific amount each year. You do not qualify if you use Medicaid.

You have to reapply every year for QI. Even if you are receiving QI coverage now, you have to apply for next year.
