Tips for Aerobic Exercise

Ready to get moving? Have a plan. WebMD guest expert Henry S. Lodge, MD, says with aerobics, your goal is 30 minutes, but you may have to start out easy.

Start by taking five or 10 minutes to warm up, by doing light exercise to loosen up your muscles. When you feel yourself getting warm and starting to sweat, step up your pace. But be sure to listen to your body and stop when you start to fade.

One WebMD community member says that she makes sure to do exercises that she enjoys. For example, she likes to dance to music because she doesn't get bored.

What's your favorite aerobic exercise?
