Power of Portion Sizes

How much do you put on your plate? We all know that we feel better if we're at a healthy weight, says WebMD guest expert Henry S. Lodge, MD. And one of the best ways to do that is to control your portions.

Lodge suggests getting appetizer-size plates and using those for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When you have a small plate, you can load it full. It will make you feel like you're getting enough to eat and give you the right portions. It's hard not to fill up a larger plate -- and even harder not to finish it!
