Diana Dedivanovic always knew there was something she didn't like about her nose.
You know, everybody has a favorite side of your face? So all of my pictures were taken where I would, my left side would be taken in the pictures.
When she finally took the plunge for a nose job, Diana's experience was unlike that of friends who had weeks of bruising and pain.
I was actually on vacation one week later. I had my surgery done on a Thursday, and I was on my way on a road trip out to Tennessee like the following Thursday.
Her nearly pain-free surgery was done using 3D, high definition endoscopic tools that helped her surgeon see delicate tissues.
You're able to see the nose from all angles in 3D. So I avoid the muscles, the blood vessels, the structures that cause bruising.
Doctor Rizk says traditional rhinoplasty doesn't give an insider's point of view.
You're basically doing it by looking at the nose from the outside, and you're sort of doing it blindly.
By avoiding muscle and blood vessels, swelling is reduced—a side effect that could affect final results.
Swelling can become an organized scar inside the nose and that can diminish your result.
And instead of a drain or packing, the doctors use tissue glue that's ultimately absorbed by the body.
I'm trying to minimize swelling.
High def techniques that add up to a beautiful nose in all dimensions. For WebMD, I'm Damon Meharg.
