Nearly a decade ago, Debbie Bonelli had laser resurfacing to strip off the top layer of her skin to reduce acne scars.
My face was swollen, oozing for seven to ten days, I would say. So I had a lot of down time. It was painful.
Now, nearly a decade later, she's back for newer laser resurfacing procedure.
You've done really, really well over here.
By combining a CO2 laser with a fractional tip, the machine drills tiny holes deep into the skin, promoting new, healthier skin to form.
When you have people that have deep wrinkles or acne scars, the fastest way and the best way to get the skin back up to the surface and be smooth is to actually do ablative fractional resurfacing.
In a small study, Doctor Sarnoff tracked patients who had just one ablative, treatment. Results showed improvement in over 50 percent of participants.
The advantage is, you can do a single treatment and accomplish an incredible amount compared to the non-ablative, where you need a series of treatments and you kind of make little increments and improvement. But with this, very often it's a single treatment with remarkable improvement.
For Debbie, the success, seen here, came with compliments.
When I got to work, everybody said, okay what'd you do? Your skin looks amazing and it, it was like instantaneously. And it gets better with time.
Time and money well spent. For WebMD, I'm Damon Meharg.
