Hepatitis A Vaccine and HIV

A vaccine that prevents hepatitis A is available. If a person who is infected with HIV or who has a high risk for developing HIV infection tests negative for hepatitis A infection, he or she should receive the hepatitis A vaccine. For more information, see the topic Hepatitis A.
