Compression fracture in osteoporosis

Figure 1 shows a broken (fractured) vertebra from thin, weak bones caused by osteoporosis (compression fracture). Figure 2 shows a needle inserted into the fractured vertebra. Figure 3 shows cement injected into the vertebra to give it structural support.
