Developmental pediatrician

Developmental pediatricians are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of children with behavior, communication, or mental problems. These include cerebral palsy, autism, learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, failure to thrive, and mental retardation.

Pediatricians can be board-certified through the Board of Pediatrics, which is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
