Heavy use of alcohol

Heavy use of alcohol is defined as more than two drinks a day for men and more than one drink a day for women. One drink is 12 fl oz (355 mL) of beer, 5 fl oz (148 mL) of wine, or 1.5 fl oz (44 mL) of hard liquor.

Heavy use of alcohol increases the risk for many health problems.
