Some medical tests give results in milligrams (mg) per deciliter
(dL).
A milligram is one-thousandth of a gram. A gram
is about 1/30 of an ounce.
A deciliter measures fluid volume that
is 1/10 liter. A liter is a little bigger than a quart.
