An ovarian endometrioma is a cyst that is attached to the ovaries
and that contains tissue similar to the uterine lining (endometrial tissue).
Endometriomas (also called endometrial or "chocolate" cysts) typically range in
size from 0.4 in. (1 cm) to
4 in. (10.2 cm).
