Relax and manage stress

Although your stress level and your personality type are difficult to measure, many experts believe that these factors have an impact on your risk of heart disease. Even though it isn't well understood how stress causes problems, being relaxed and dealing well with stress can help you maintain a more healthy lifestyle and improve your quality of life.

When you are very stressed, it may be easier to slip back into old habits, such as smoking, drinking too much alcohol, eating junk food, and not exercising.
