Rheumatologist

Rheumatologists are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the joints.

Rheumatologists may further specialize in diagnosing and treating arthritis and other rheumatic conditions, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or lupus.

Rheumatologists can be board-certified through the Board of Internal Medicine, which is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
