Self-care supplies

The supplies listed below are useful to keep on hand in your home health center. They are inexpensive, easy to use, and available in any drugstore or pharmacy.

  • Adhesive strips, such as Band-Aids, in assorted sizes
  • Adhesive tape, 1in. wide
  • Butterfly bandages
  • Sterile gauze pads, 2in. square
  • Elastic ("Ace") bandage, 3in. wide
  • Roll of gauze bandage, 2in. wide
  • Cotton balls
  • Safety pins
