Signs of bleeding in people taking medications to prevent blood clots
If you have had a
transient ischemic attack or
stroke and are taking aspirin or other medications
that prevent blood clots, watch for signs of bleeding. Signs of bleeding
include:
Blood in urine or red or tarry
stools.
Bleeding from the nose or gums or spitting up
blood.
Excessive or prolonged vaginal
bleeding.
Frequent, severe bruising or tiny red or purple spots on
the skin.
