Jennifer Shelley

Jennifer has focused her career on medical writing and editing. Her role at WebMD includes overseeing the editorial content of several WebMD Medical News channels, managing experienced medical journalists, and editing stories for content, style, accuracy, and clarity to ensure the articles capture and keep readers' attention.

Prior to joining WebMD, Jennifer served as editor for the UNMC Eppley Cancer Center and the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. During her tenure, she edited journal submissions and grant applications written by basic science researchers. Her responsibilities also included writing lay articles describing the cancer research and treatment efforts of the university's multidisciplinary cancer research team and maintaining the cancer center's web site.

Jennifer received her Master's in mass communication from the University of Georgia, where she graduated with honors, and is a member of the American Medical Writers Association.
