John A. Cutter is a freelance writer who specializes in aging, health and retirement issues. His syndicated column for Copley News Service will debut in December. He is editor of Age Beat Online, the weekly electronic newsletter of the Journalists Exchange on Aging. He covered aging issues for the St. Petersburg Times in Florida for over six years, winning awards from the American Society on Aging, the Alzheimer's Association, and the Southeastern Association of Area Agencies on Aging. He has contributed to the reference work Human Diseases and Conditions, and written for the New York Times, St. Petersburg Times, and Responses to an Aging Florida.
