John Diggs, MD

John Diggs, MD, is a board certified internist with 15 years of clinical experience providing care to ethnically and socio-economically diverse populations from California to New England. A frequent lecturer and commentator on human sexuality and adolescent health, Diggs serves as a leading spokesman for the Massachusetts Physicians Resource Council and the nationwide Consortium of State Physicians Resource Councils, which represents more than 2,000 member-physicians throughout the United States.

Diggs is a frequent guest on national television and radio programs, appearing on Fox News, The O’Reilly Factor, Beverly LaHaye Today and America’s Voice Tonight. He recently testified before the Massachusetts State Legislature on fetal viability and prenatal testing, and in 1999 joined with U.S. Representatives Tom Coburn, MD, and Ernest Istook at a major Capitol Hill press conference relevant to state use of federal Title V (sec. 510) abstinence funds.

Diggs was one of a dozen peer-reviewers for a major study on adolescent pregnancy, released in January 1999 by the Consortium of State Physician Resource Councils ("The Decline in Adolescent Pregnancy, Birth and Abortion Rates in the 1990's: What Factors Are Responsible?"). Through his association with both the Massachusetts Physicians Resource Council and the Consortium of Physicians Resource Councils, Diggs is committed to promoting sound, evidence-based public health policy.
