Kelli Miller

Kelli Miller is an award-winning writer who has been covering health and medicine for nearly 20 years. She is a board-certified editor of the life sciences. Her work has appeared in a variety of consumer and scientific publications, including The Scientist, Popular Science, UCLA Healthy Years, the Cleveland Clinic Men's Health Advisor, Weill-Cornell Women's Health Advisor, Mt. Sinai's Focus on Healthy Aging, and Arthritis Today. She is co-author of the book Encyclopedia of the Human Body: The Endocrine System. Miller has also created content for Keas online health quizzes and for,,, and other health-related web sites.

She is the former editorial director for A.D.A.M., Inc., where she managed content for an online health encyclopedia and in-depth patient care reports. Miller has also held positions as executive producer for science and health video news service and as a news writer for The Weather Channel.

In 2006, Miller received the American Medical Association's Eric Martin Award for excellence in medical reporting for her cover story article, “Therapeutic MAbs: Saving Lives and Making Billions," which appeared in The Scientist.

She is a former recipient of the National Press Foundation's mini-fellowship on cancer reporting.

Her interest in science and medicine stems from her experience as a pharmacy technician and the pursuance of a pharmacy degree while in college. (In the end, she opted for journalism.)
