Liza Jane Maltin

After receiving her bachelor's degree in philosophy and psychology from Emory University, Liza worked as a copy editor for the press-relations newswire Business Wire and as a technical writer for Intertek Testing Services, a conformity assessment laboratory.

She took graduate courses in chemistry and anatomy/physiology -- for fun -- before joining WebMD in July 1998 as a reporter/researcher. She writes daily news articles for physicians and the general public.
