Michael H. Aronson, MD

An undergraduate of Northwestern University, Michael H. Aronson, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Medical School and went on to complete a residency in anesthesiology. After spending two years on the teaching faculty in anesthesia, he entered into private practice of anesthesia in Denver until 1986.

After moving to the Atlanta area in 1986, Aronson entered into a psychiatry residency at Emory University and started into private practice of psychiatry in 1989. He is board certified in both anesthesia and psychiatry.

Although experienced with psychopharmacologic treatments of all adult psychiatric disorders, his areas of interest are in the pharmacologic treatment of depression and anxiety. Aronson also treats drug and alcohol addictions and chronic pain. He is an experienced psychotherapist and enjoys working with people to help them effect meaningful changes in their lives.
