You may be more likely to get migraines if you:1

  • Have a family history of migraines.
  • Are female. Women are three times more likely to develop migraines than men.
  • Are a teenager or young adult. Migraines commonly begin during these years.
  • Have depression, anxiety disorder, asthma, or epilepsy.
