Miriam E. Nelson, PhD, is an associate professor of nutrition and director of the Center for Physical Fitness at the School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. A fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, she holds their certification as a health/fitness director. Also a certified nutrition specialist of the American College of Nutrition, she serves on the advisory committee for the Massachusetts Osteoporosis Awareness Program. She holds a doctorate in nutrition from Tufts University.
