Should I use fever reducing medications?
I think that the use of fever reducing medications is fine as long as you know why you're doing it, which is for the babies comfort, not because you're worried that the fever is going to do harm, not because you're curing any kind of infection with it. You're just making the baby comfortable. And then you just simply need to follow the dosages on the pack and follow those carefully because, although these medicines are quite safe, and of course you know, we don't use aspirin in little kids. But using ibuprofen or acetaminophen we do. You can give too much, and too much of a good thing, so always follow the dosage on the label.
