What food do I introduce first to my baby?
That's another question where people have very strong feelings on what to start first, and it probably doesn't matter. Most babies are going to do fine on anything. Generally, we start with cereal because you can give it on a spoon instead of in the bottle. You can add a little bit of milk to it and it's not allergenic. Rice cereal, most babies handle it just fine. So most of us say sure, start with cereal, but you know if you start with fruit your baby's just fine, it's OK. The key principle is you just start one new food every few days so if your baby should have a problem with indigestion, gas, looking, allergic reactions, something like that, you'll know what it is, because if you start more than one food it could be one of two or three. That's really the key. The order in which you do it, everyone's got this iron clad order, cereal, fruit, veggies probably doesn't really matter that much as long as you watch for problems. Most babies handle pretty much everything fine.
