What's the best way to calm a crying baby?
Well, every baby is different. Some babies you can calm by just picking them up, holding him, touching him, and singing to him. Other babies require a lot more stimulation, a pacifier, talking to them more, going up and down. And some babies frankly aren't going to stop crying almost no matter what you do. So the real message is know your baby and keep trying until something works. Usually you'll find out what's the matter with her, if she's wet and you need to change her, if she's hungry and she needs food if she's just kind of cranky and teething or she just wants to be held, or maybe she just needs a good cry. And there's no one answer. You just keep trying until you hit pay dirt. And usually you'll succeed.
