Biography
Rebecca Buffum Taylor
Rebecca Buffum Taylor has been a medical writer, editor, and publishing
executive for 25 years. She was editorial director of Krames Communications, a
medical publisher in San Francisco, and VP/executive editor for Epicenter, a
photojournalism book packager in Sausalito, Calif.
She has written for Glamour, Self, and Salon and has
been a consultant for online publishers on branding, creative direction,
and editorial process design. As a book producer, her recent titles include
The Wedding Box and Voices from the Heart: In Celebration of
America's Volunteers, produced for Chronicle Books. Other titles
include The Face of Mercy: A Photographic History of Medicine at
War for Random House and Sarajevo: Portrait of a Siege for
Warner Books.
Taylor holds a BA in semiotics from Brown University and an MFA in writing
from Bennington College. She lives in Seattle.
