Richard Worland, MD, FACS
Richard Worland, MD, FACS, is a specialist in the treatment, reconstruction, and total replacement of damaged knee and shoulder joints who has been in private practice in Richmond, Va. for more than 20 years. Worland is the surgeon designer of the Bi-Angular total shoulder system, the Bipolar shoulder replacement system, and the AGC Revision Total Knee replacement system.
Worland is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the North American Arthroscopy Association, the Eastern Orthopaedic Association, and the Southern Orthopaedic Association. He is also a founding member of the Association for Arthritic Hip and Knee Surgery, past president of the Richmond Orthopaedic Club, and an honorary member of the Orthopaedic Society of Rio de Janeiro and the Orthopaedic Society of Buenos Aires.
Worland received his undergraduate degree with honors from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from the University of Rochester. He completed a general-surgery internship and residency at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and an orthopaedic residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center at New York Orthopaedic Hospital.
