Before coming to WebMD, Sarah covered health and medicine either as a freelance writer or staff reporter for a variety of news organizations including CNN.com, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Francisco Examiner. She also taught English in Shanghai, China, and was a deckhand on an Alaskan ship.
Sarah has a master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary.
