When Andrée (ON-DREY) Carr started getting older, she noticed her sex drive didn't have the same spark it used to.
I was concerned about my libido and about my life as it... as it was after a certain point.
It's a problem many older women experience.
I'd say maybe as many as 50 percent notice a decrease in their interest in sex, as well as their ability to achieve orgasm and... and stimulate themselves the same way sexually.
I complained about... about not being moist enough and not being sexual enough. And that's one of the reasons why I decided to change this.
Doctor Michael Silverstein examined Andrée and altered the hormone replacement therapy she was taking. He added testosterone, something most of us associate with male sexual characteristics.
The doses that are used in the hormone replacement therapy are so ultra low, that they don't cause any of those side effects. But they often are in many women, not all, the pivotal factor in replacing their sexual function.
I have a significant other... plus. Okay? And I'm blushing.
She says it's renewed her sense of self-confidence. For WebMD, I'm Sandee LaMotte.
