Sheah Rarback, MS, RD

Sheah Rarback, MS, RD, is director of the nutrition division for the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami's School of Medicine. She is active in research, medical education, and medical nutrition therapy. Her areas of expertise are pediatric obesity, nutrition during the life cycle, food trends, food allergies, and decreasing disease risk. She also serves as nutrition consultant to the University of Miami's Cosmetic Medicine and Research Institute.

Rarback was a media spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association (ADA) for 12 years, and has served as a delegate for the ADA's Professional Development Committee. She is chairwoman of the Florida Dietetics and Nutrition Practice Council, which regulates the licensing and practice of dietetics and nutrition in Florida.

Rarback has lectured to professionals and consumers across the country. She writes a biweekly column for The Miami Herald and a bimonthly column for SoBeFit Magazine. She has appeared on several Miami television stations as well as on The Today Show, CNN, and Lifetime TV, and Court TV (as an expert witness).
