PINUS BARK Overview Information
How does it work?
Pinus bark contains tannins. Astringent chemicals, such as tannins, can cause the mouth, throat, and digestive tract linings to shrink and form a protective surface coating.
Moderate Interaction Be cautious with this combination
- Lithium interacts with PINUS BARK
Pinus bark might have an effect like a water pill or "diuretic." Taking pinus bark might decrease how well the body gets rid of lithium. This could increase how much lithium is in the body and result in serious side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before using this product if you are taking lithium. Your lithium dose might need to be changed.
- Medications taken by mouth (Oral drugs) interacts with PINUS BARK
Pinus bark contains a large amount of chemicals called tannins. Tannins absorb substances in the stomach and intestines. Taking pinus bark along with medications taken by mouth can decrease how much medicine your body absorbs, and decrease the effectiveness of your medicine. To prevent this interaction, take pinus bark at least one hour after medications you take by mouth.
