    What to expect the first time you take it. Assuming it affects you just like it did me. I took 1000 mg. on an empty stomach. + The first hour - Really nothing, save for a very vague lightheadedness. + 1.5 hours - Noticeably relaxed muscles with slight ataxia and a mild sedation.     to start I am taking this for anxiety, post surgical neuropathy, executive dysfunction, and seizures. the anxiety and executive dysfunction is autism related, while the seizures are epileptic, the rest is self explanitory. I started on phenibut as an alternative to neurontin, and let me tell you. It is a mg to mg full alternative that does the same work only without the hang over. now keep in mind ...     This is an update to a prior review I did. I've now been taking phenibut for approx 9 months. It is amazing. As to all the people reading reviews about addiction and withdrawal, please keep in mind: this stuff is not a toy.     Phenibut did indeed get rid of my anxiety, but at a high cost. After only a few days I became physically addicted to the drug. I became aware of this physical addiction when after about a week of using 2.5mg a day, I decided to stop using Phenibut.
