1 tsp caused a severe food allergy reaction. I would caution anyone with food allergies to proceed with caution. My diagnosed allergies are dairy, egg, peanuts, chicken, pork, soy and oranges. The reaction was within 2 hrs if ingestion and the absolute only new thing in my diet for weeks For me it's a no go!

Started having chest pain after starting chia, but it was also after shoulder surgery. I am stopping the chia because I am running out of options. Been to er and doc and going to doc again today. Not convinced its the chia and plan on trying it again with lower amounts when I get this pain under control.

    Comment:
About 12 hours after ingesting one tablespoon on breakfast oatmeal I experienced mild nausea, stomach pain and a very gassy stomach. Also a stuffy nose. The gassy stomach has persisted for a couple of days. The stuffy nose only lasted a few hours. Felt unwell in general from this small single dose.
