I drink Angelica Root tea for help with anxiety (college grad student studying Modern Physics and Astrophysics) and stress related disorders.

Somewhat effective due to very URGENT and SERIOUS side effect. What people are NOT warned about concerning Angelica is it contains COUMATIN or something like it - in which case can be used as RAT POISON. DO NOT USE FOR MORE THAN 1-2 wks and ALWAYS A LOW DOSAGE. I drank tea of Angelica and couldn't wash my face without double handfuls of blood from my nose.

I noticed In the reviews that someone said this has Coumadin or Coumatin in it . No it does not ,but it’s easy to see where the confusion comes from. The name is similar. It’s actually Coumarin in this plant, it’s also in cinnamon and strawberries too. Coumarins not to be confused with Coumadin, which is a brand name of the vitamin K antagonist warfarin, are naturally occurring compounds derived from 1,2-benzopyrone. Coumarin is a white crystalline solid. Its odor has been described both as vanilla-like and as having a note of 'freshly mowed hay.Read More Read Less

After reading these review it seems that the people ingesting this are having nose bleads...which can be related to hemoraging of mucous membrane as it has (if you reserch) an effect that can cause abortion as well as starting a menstrual cycle....though topically and aromatic it has a much nicer effect. That Being said....if you have a increased risk of stroke, Parkinson, alzthimers, bbb permiation, or are trying to have a child, reactions to titanium di&monoxide, aluminum, and various other metals used in the medical/pharmaceutical/dental industries...DO NOT EVEN TRY IT.Read More Read Less

Did absolutely nothing for me. Since I am in excellent physical condition that is excellent. Of course I might feel differently actually consumed the substance. Do reviews of this sort have any actual validity? One would think not!

I took this tea to prevent having to get up o~in the night to urinate. Found I slept better than I have for years! Also slept a long time after lunch. Perhaps am taking too much? About 1 tablespoon boiled in water, makes 2 small cups. One in the morning and the second in the evening. A horrible taste though, added some honey
