After using refined stevia for about a yr, I bought a stevia plant at Home Depot. It is growing better than anything else in my garden. Once a week, I steep a cup of stevia tea, and keep in fridge for sweetening liquids. Also dry a bunch, (5 or 6 branches), pull the leaves off and into a zip lock, finely crush and use for cooking. I stopped eating sugar and switched to Stevia 1 1/2 years ago and lost 60 lbs. I am a big believer in this product and highly recommend it to family and friends.

My husband was a Pepsi-holic ..Any kind of sodas...and usually used diet. I have switched him to Stevia.. Took some experimenting...to cut down to no bitterness. TO the person who tried "truvia brand of stevia"... Bear in mind , this is stevia PLUS whatever the manufacturer did. When someone tampers with NATURE , the result is not always good. Well, I found Stevia extract too bitter. I found Truvia et al WAY too expensive so decided to take matters into my own hands. Armed with a calculator, I first of all purchased 16 oz Stevia extract with 90% Steviasoides from Mood and Mind. My aim was to produce a calibrated liquid extract that I could add to food and drink. Stevia caused side effects in me - low blood pressure, heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea. I naturally have low blood pressure so as stated in this article do not take if you have low blood pressure.
