I tried Glucosamine HCL with Chondroitin years ago and it had no effect. Then i saw Glucosamine for pets work a miracle on my aging dog. Within a few weeks, she went from barely being able to get up from the floor to running around like a pup again. So i tried it on mysef again, but this time used plain Glucosamine SULFATE. It didn't take long for me to start feeling a difference.....and my se...

I WORKED IN THE WOODS FOR 37 YEARS AS A FORESTER, CLIMBING STEEP HILLS ON MANY DAYS. I ALSO WAS AN AVID MOUNTAIN CLIMBER, WHEN ONE DAY, WHEN I WAS ABOUT 50 YEARS OLD, I WOKE UP AND COULD HARDLY WALK. I HAD NO PREVIOUS SYMPTOMS. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH OSTEOARTHRITIS AND BEGAN TAKING GLUCOSAMINE/CHONDROINTIN. WITHIN A FEW WEEKS, I WAS GOOD TO GO AND HAVE BEEN EVER SINCE. I AM NOW 74 YEARS OLD.

I had an accident and needed metal plates in my elbow a few years ago...was told I was at a high risk of developing arthritis..a few years laters i started to really feel the pain and get swelling in my knees after a few days work(physically demanding job)...i thought i was screwed and may need to change job or retire earlier (im only 40)...started taking 1000-1500 mg of glucosamine sulphate a day...the improvements were almost instantly noticeable within a few days..this stuff may not work for everyone...but it drastically improved my life...and i would recommend people in a similar predicament to at least try it.Read More Read Less

I TOOK FOR 2 MONTHS AND I GOT OUT OF BED ONE MORNING AND REALIZED I HAD NO BURNING BEE STINGING PAIN. IT WAS SO FANTASTIC. I WAS IN STUNNED DISBELIEF. NO LIMPING, I WORKOUT 5 DAYS A WEEK WITH WEIGHTS. THIS STUFF HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. NO SURGERY FOR ME.

I took this years ago when my cholesterol was 220. I took one pill but realized I needed to take 2. When I did my cholesterol was 256 so I stopped taking it and it went down to 220 again. I was put on atorvastatin to get my cholesterol under 200. Your article says it doesn’t increase cholesterol but I disagree. I am living proof.

I had chronic back pain with severe deterioration of the cartridge of lower back. Taking Glucosamine Sulphate after two months it has changed my life. Pain has gone from a 9 to a 2. I still have some stiffness that goes away with a few stretches. It is life changing to sleep properly and wake up pain free. I feel like I’m 10 years younger again.

I was first recommended to glucosamine by my postman, they do many miles each day, my husband and I tried it for a month or two, that was many years ago. Though my husband went on to develope Alzheimers and I found he was brighter without his daily dose, I am still taking 2000mg per day. I tried to half it but my arthritis flailed up. May try and reduce to 1500 as this seems to be widely recommended. Otherwise I have to say it works for me. I am 75 years old and more active than most people my age.Read More Read Less

After patella tendon reconstruction i started taking a Vimerson Health supplement with this as the key ingredient. I do rigorous therapy and I take it at night. i can feel it moving through the joint. At first I attributed it to placebo effect. It's not. It's for real. It actually freaking works.

There is not a way I really can tell if it works for sure. I have taken it for years hopping it works. Afraid to stop because I am not sure it doesn't help. Have had knees going bad for 12 years. Had scopes done and shots in both knees. Now time to replace both knees. As I wrote did it help keep the knees going this long. I really can not say. No way I can prove it. 76 years old. Have joint pain in other site. Do we accept the mfg. words or is there any clinical trials to prove it does or does not work. We in the market place buy on hope but no real clinical trial it does anything. Buyer be ware. DoyleRead More Read Less

It did ease my knee pain, however had weird reaction. Developed a pain in my right thigh when lying down, on my side. It would subside if I laid on my back.. However, after discontinuing Glucosamine, the pain went away entirely.
