I started using CLA about 2 months ago. I was taking 1 capsule a day and was starting to see a difffernece . I read that it is also used for Thyroid disorder. I had Thyroid cancer last year . Once I went up to the recommended dose on thebottle (2000mg) 2 caps. I noticed I was extremely tired and could barely stay awake. Found 1250 mg dosage to be very effective in losing weight. No adverse side effects, suppresses appetite, and boosts immune system. (My Crohns is under control without prescription meds!) win/win!

The first time I tried CLA was a few years ago. I didn't have any weight loss, but several people complimented me saying I looked as if I had lost weight. I guess the CLA was toning me making me look smaller because I was not even working out. I have taken CLA twice a day in large doses for almost one year. The effects on converting body fat to lean muscle tissue is phenomenal - however, this like other supplements TAKES TIME. The published research suggests that CLA converts .4 pounds of fat to lean muscle tissue per MONTH.. But over the course of a year that is approximately 5 pounds of FAT! I tried CLA only to realize the side effects that I experience were not worth it. Headaches, adominal pain, feeling very dizzy and living in the bathroom. I was so nauseated that I had to lay down and just rest. I have heard it does well for some but not for me. I got off of it and symptons went away. The best way is to excercise and eat right.
