Was given a small amount in ER for low pattasium. Was told to just down it. It burned my throat, chest and stomach so bad. And my chest burned for for a week. Still hurts after eating and it’s been more than two weeks.

Suspected I had food poisoning so took syrup of ipecac to induce vomiting and get the whole thing over with quicker. Worked as promised but stomach sensitive for quite a while afterwards.
