Yin Chen Hao has helped me tremendiously to stimulate bile flow and treat chronic constipation. I've experienced no negative side effects. The brand I use is Plum Flowers, purchased as a powder. At first I filled vegan capsules, but the powder can get sticky, so lately I just add it to warm water. The taste reminds me of artichoke only slightly more bitter.
