you are INCORRECT in saying that bittersweet is as poisonous as the commonly confused Atropa Belladonna. Many of us look to webmd for CORRECT information and here your information is wrong. you can be a physician but you are lacking information that we common gardeners know. We eat this berry all summer long.

Yes, the berries are mildly poisonous. If you eat them you will probably get a stomach ache. If you eat one or two you probably won't notice but that doesn't mean you should go around eating known poisonous berries off vines in your back yard and acting like some kind of expert forager who knows better than doctors and botanists. If you wanna eat the fruit of a nightshade plant, eat a tomato and leave the berries in your back yard alone.

I ate 1 green berry and nothing adverse happened. The internet is filled with situations in which warnings about this plant are being conflated with what is known for belladonna. The nightshade that has belladonna is distinctly different. Nonetheless. The plant solanum dulcamara has chemicals in it with a very small tolerance range. It’s effects will be likely to more extreme in children and it may interact with other things. Information is lacking for guaranteeing its safety.
