William B. Salt II, MD

William B. Salt II, MD, practices with the Ohio Gastroenterology Group in Columbus, Ohio, and is a clinical associate professor of medicine at Ohio State University.

Salt is also chairman of the continuing medical education committee and educational director in gastroenterology at Mt. Carmel Health, where he is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents in medicine, family practice, surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology. He was named "Family Practice Residency Teacher of the Year, 1995-1996."

Salt is also listed in the fourth edition of "The Best Doctors in America." The author of "Irritable Bowel Syndrome & the Mind-Body/Brain-Gut Connection," 12 articles in medical journals, and one chapter in a book for physicians, he spent nearly three years collaborating on "Fibromyalgia and the MindBodySpirit Connection."

Salt is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. A graduate of Ohio State University, Salt trained at Vanderbilt University Hospitals in Nashville, where he also served as chief resident in medicine.
