How can symptoms of asthma vary?

ANSWER

Asthma narrows your airway and makes it harder for air to move in and out of the lungs. You feel like can't get enough air. Not every person with asthma has the same symptoms in the same way, and your symptoms can vary at different times.

Mild asthma episodes are most common. Usually, the airways open up within a few minutes to a few hours. Severe episodes last longer and are medical emergencies. It’s important to recognize and treat even mild symptoms to prevent more serious problems.
