What are common heartburn symptoms reported by pregnant women?
Heartburn is when stomach acids irritate your esophagus. About half of pregnant women get it. Their common symptoms include:
- A burning feeling in the chest after eating that lasts a few minutes to several hours
- Chest pain, especially after bending over, lying down, or eating
- Burning in the back of the throat
- Long-term coughing
- Wheezing or other asthma-like symptoms
